This is a broad, hands-on People role with responsibility across HR, employee experience, and office management. You’ll be the central point for all people-related activity, covering the full employee lifecycle and the day-to-day running of the workplace environment.

What’s the day to day?

  • Managing end-to-end recruitment and onboarding (adverts through to induction)
  • Advising managers on employment law, HR policy, and best practice
  • Managing employee relations cases (grievance, absence, performance, disciplinaries, redundancy, settlements)
  • Reviewing and maintaining HR policies and ensuring consistent application
  • Producing monthly HR reports and KPIs
  • Managing the full employee lifecycle (onboarding to exit, including parental leave and leavers)
  • Leading performance review cycles and employee engagement surveys
  • Supporting internal communications and people initiatives
  • Coordinating learning and development, including training needs analysis and sourcing solutions
  • Overseeing office management and facilities (supplies, spend, suppliers)
  • Managing travel, meetings, visitors, and internal events
  • Organising company socials and team-building activities
  • Supporting health & safety compliance (policies, risk assessments, fire safety)

What’s needed:

  • Experience across both HR and office operations
  • A solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience)
  • Confidence managing employee relations cases end-to-end
  • Ability to advise and influence managers and senior stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to balance competing priorities
  • Clear, professional communication style
  • Discreet, empathetic, and pragmatic approach
